Red Hat Developer Day Aarhus

Stop Managing Complexity. Start Shipping Value.

02/06/2026 | 09:00 - 17:00 | Aarhus N | Denmark

Event overview

The Reality Check Cloud-native was supposed to make us faster. Instead, it often feels like we’ve just traded old bottlenecks for a sprawling landscape of "YAML-toil," fragmented toolchains, and the cognitive load of "knowing everything" from infrastructure to AI. The promise of the cloud is being drowned out by the noise of its own complexity.

The Vision On June 2nd in Aarhus, we’re gathering the builders, the architects, and the platform thinkers for a day dedicated to one goal: Reclaiming the Developer Experience.

We believe that the future isn't just about more tools—it’s about Platform Engineering with purpose. It’s about creating an environment where AI isn't a distraction, but a force multiplier for legacy evolution. Where connectivity and APIs aren't hurdles, but seamless bridges. And where GitOps isn't just a buzzword, but the foundation for moving at the speed of thought.

What to Expect This isn't a "sit back and watch" event. Through a mix of high-level architectural sessions and hands-on labs, we will dive into:

  • The AI-Augmented Lifecycle: Navigating the transition from manual migration to intelligent, agent-assisted evolution.
  • Unified Connectivity: Simplifying how we manage and secure the digital glue of our applications.
  • The Golden Path: Building internal platforms that provide sovereignty and speed without sacrificing the creative freedom of the developer.

Why Join Us? Whether you’re a developer looking for a better daily flow or a platform engineer tasked with building the "Internal Developer Portal" of tomorrow, you’ll leave with the tactical knowledge to turn "Cloud-Native" from a burden into a competitive edge.

You Are Not Your Code – Why Every Dev Needs to Understand AI, Like It or Not

10:30 AM - 11:00 AM

AI is writing code. That's not a future prediction – it's happening right now, in your team, on your screen. Some developers are jumping in with both feet, others are terrified of losing their craft. Both reactions make sense. Neither is a sustainable strategy.

This talk doesn't have all the answers. What it does have is an honest look at how different engineers are actually navigating this shift – the enthusiasts, the skeptics, and everyone in between. Through their perspectives we'll explore what AI assistance really means for your craft, your identity as a developer, and your day-to-day work.

Because the truth is probably somewhere in the middle – and figuring out where you and your team stands starts with understanding what's actually going on.

The Automation Highway: Branding the Way to Production

11:10 AM - 11:40 AM

In a world of decentralized "tribe" setups, many developer teams end up solving the same problems in isolation. Join Kenneth Bøgedal and Henrik Løvborg for a session on how a shift to Platform as a Product transformed developer experience.

Rather than waiting for a mandate, the team spotted a recurring headache and treated it like a startup opportunity. They didn't just build a pipeline; they built a brand—complete with its own identity and 'merch'—to win the hearts of their fellow developers. By trading generic tools for a branded 'internal product,' they’ve turned the path to production into something developers actually want to use, backed by feedback loops and data that prove it works.
