Red Hat OpenShift Security Roadshow Canberra
Thursday, 24 September 2026 | 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Red Hat Canberra office | Batron ACT | Australia
OVERVIEW
Join our Red Hat OpenShift security experts for a hands-on workshop that brings application security to life.
This session goes beyond theory; participants will step into real world scenarios where they will intentionally deploy vulnerable applications or misconfigured environments, exploit those weaknesses to understand how attacks occur, and then apply practical security controls to remediate and prevent them.
Guided by experts, you’ll work through the full software lifecycle, exploring how security risks emerge from build through to deployment and runtime. Along the way, you’ll gain direct experience with how modern security practices, OpenShift capabilities and Red Hat Hardened Images can be used to detect vulnerabilities, enforce policy, and strengthen the integrity of containerised workloads.
Key learning points:
- Experience real-world security risks by deploying and exploiting vulnerable applications and configurations
- Understand how security issues manifest across the software supply chain
- Learn how to detect vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and policy violations in practical scenarios
- Collect forensic evidence and understand how to investigate security incidents
- Apply remediation techniques using OpenShift security capabilities to prevent and mitigate risks
- Strengthen your ability to design and operate more resilient, secure application platforms
- Build confidence in applying secure-by-design principles through hands-on experience
- Harden container workloads using Red Hat Hardened Images
