10/29/2026 | 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The Delta Hotels Ottawa City Centre | Ottawa ON | Canada

Overview:

Join us for an exclusive in-person event dedicated to navigating the modern IT landscape. This comprehensive day of learning focuses on how Red Hat’s platform strategy addresses the urgent demands of AI integration, sovereign cloud requirements, and infrastructure modernization. Attendees will explore critical sessions on building software for AI-enabled threats and securing the software supply chain through provenance and SBOMs.

The afternoon features a hands-on workshop with dedicated beginner and expert tracks, allowing participants to either master daily OpenShift operations or dive deep into advanced topics like OpenShift Virtualization and Advanced Cluster Management.

Whether you are new to the platform or an experienced operator, this event provides the tools and expert guidance needed to defensibly operate agentic development workflows and trusted software delivery pipelines.

We are pleased to offer 4.8 continuing professional education (CPE) credits to those that attend the event. CPE certification at Red Hat Tech Day is being administered by Carahsoft Technology Corp. Carahsoft is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. Introduction and Meeting the Moment with Red Hat

Tech organizations in Ottawa are being asked to move faster on AI, sovereignty, and modernization at the same time, often with the same budget and the same people. This session frames what that moment demands of IT teams and where Red Hat’s open source platform strategy fits.

Building Software for AI-enabled Threats

AI is compressing the time between a disclosed vulnerability and a working exploit, which puts new pressure on how software gets built, signed, and shipped. This session looks at what a trusted software supply chain has to do differently when the adversary is automated, covering provenance, SBOMs, and the controls that hold up under that pace.

Supercharging the Inner Loop: Instant, AI Workspaces (Nicholas Morey)

AI agents are moving from code completion to taking real actions across build, test, and deployment, which raises hard questions about identity, permissions, and auditability. This session shows how OpenShift provides the platform boundaries that make agentic development workflows practical to run and defensible to operate.

Lunch

Workshop - OpenShift Operations

The afternoon is hands-on. Attendees work in live OpenShift environments at their own pace, on lab content matched to their experience level rather than a single scripted path. Two tracks run in parallel, and Red Hat specialists are on the floor throughout to work through problems and answer questions specific to your environment. Bring a laptop; everything else is provided.

Beginner Track

For those new to OpenShift or moving into a platform operations role. You’ll install and verify a cluster, then work through the daily mechanics of running it: deploying and managing applications, configuring ingress and load balancing, applying network security policies, and debugging problems when they surface. Optional modules cover GitOps workflows, LDAP and OIDC integration, observability and logging, and performance tuning.

Expert Track

For teams already running OpenShift who want to see what else the platform does. Modules cover OpenShift Virtualization, Developer Hub, and Lightspeed, alongside a security-focused block on Advanced Cluster Management, Advanced Cluster Security, zero trust workload identity, and secrets management. Pick the modules that map to what you’re being asked to deliver next.
