The Future of OpenShift: A place to innovate without interruption
Chris Morgan, Vice President, Technical Marketing, Evangelism & Strategic Initiatives
The experimentation phase of cloud-native is over. You’re still running VMs and containers, landing AI, securing the software supply chain, and keeping it all alive across hybrid environments. Adding another tool doesn’t help. You need the platform you already trust to get more intelligent, more secure, and more predictable—without asking you to start over.
That’s the future of OpenShift. Intelligence is moving into the core of the platform: natural-language operations in the console, fleet-wide health in plain English, AI that correlates incidents instead of drowning you in alerts, and agentic pipelines that keep delivery moving without bypassing security. VMs and containers stay on one foundation. You keep choice—and control—wherever the work runs.
In this session, we’ll look at OpenShift through the lens of the IT practitioner: how a proven application platform brings together virtualization, containers, and AI; how OpenShift Lightspeed and Advanced Cluster Management cut the operational grind; and how policy-as-code plus human-in-the-loop automation lets teams ship faster without giving up the supply chain.
Then we’ll put it on the floor with a live demonstration—what’s possible today, and where OpenShift is headed next. Come see the future of OpenShift, and what it means for how you’ll operate IT tomorrow.
Project Lightwell in Action: Automated, Scalable Security for the Frontier AI Era
James Labocki, Senior Director, Product Management - Red Hat
With frontier AI models like Mythos and Daybreak driving Time to Exploit to near zero, automated threats now target software supply chains at machine speed, rendering manual security workflows obsolete. This session introduces Project Lightwell, a joint Red Hat and IBM initiative that acts as a trusted clearinghouse combining AI vulnerability discovery with human engineering to rapidly deliver validated open-source fixes. Learn how Red Hat enables enterprises to seamlessly deploy these signed, patched artifacts into production via its delivery infrastructure—ensuring SLSA Level 3 compliance and fully reproducible builds. A live demonstration will showcase the end-to-end workflow: detecting an AI-era exploit threat, and automatically validating and deploying Lightwell-remediated packages at scale without compromising stability.

Emerging Technology Track - From "Vibe Coding" Chaos to Platform Control: Securely Building and Running AI Agents on OpenShift
Arunkumar Nattamai Hariharan, Specialist Solution Architect, Application Platform - Red Hat
Giovanni Fontana, Specialist Solution Architect, OpenShift - Red Hat
AI-assisted code generation delivers unprecedented development speed, but unguided AI prompts introduce severe security vulnerabilities, supply chain risks, and compliance debt. Moving fast without guardrails isn't innovation—it's enterprise liability. To safely capture AI's value, organizations must treat AI as a single platform problem: unifying how code is generated with how predictive, generative, and agentic workloads are executed and governed.
This demo session delivers a complete end-to-end story bridging developer experience with enterprise platform engineering. We start by exposing the hidden security traps of raw AI-generated code, then demonstrate how Developer Hub Golden Path Templates embed security policies, supply chain controls, and operational standards directly into the developer workflow. Transitioning from code creation to execution, we trace the complete lifecycle of an AI application from insecure prompt to robust, production-ready execution on Red Hat OpenShift.
Emerging Technology Track - Securing the Software Supply Chain in the AI Era
Chad Darby, Specialist Solution Architect, Application Platform - Red Hat
Guilherme Camposo, Specialist Solution Architect, Application Services - Red Hat
Frontier AI models such as Anthropic’s Claude Mythos, accessed through Project Glasswing, now autonomously discover thousands of previously unknown vulnerabilities and generate working exploits at unprecedented speed. This creates an AI Vulnerability Storm that dramatically shortens defenders' response windows, especially for open-source dependencies and container base images powering both traditional and AI workloads in financial services.
Red Hat and IBM’s $5 billion Project Lightwell counters this with an AI-augmented clearinghouse and over 20,000 engineers to identify, validate, and coordinate fixes at OSS supply chain scale. Yet upstream detection must translate into reliable downstream remediation inside secure customer pipelines.
In this session, we’ll present a practical, opinionated workflow using Red Hat’s Trusted Software Supply Chain capabilities to demonstrate complete inner-loop (developer) and outer-loop (release and runtime) remediation for real CVEs affecting application libraries and container images. It covers IDE dependency scanning with guided remediation, build-time enforcement and registry scanning, ACS continuous scanning at runtime and quarantine in OpenShift, and GitOps-triggered rebuilds after updates to the application base image and open-source code dependencies.
By showing traceable, security-first remediation without manual overrides, Red Hat provides FSI teams with a trusted delivery platform to compress time to remediation as AI accelerates both threats and defensive capabilities.
Emerging Technology Track - No GPU Left Exposed: Securing Multi-Tenant AI and Batch Workloads on OpenShift
Jason Kincl, Principal Solutions Architect, OpenShift - Red Hat
Cory Latschkowski, Specialist Solution Architect, OpenShift - Red Hat
Driving up resource utilization to offset the massive capital expense of specialized GPU hardware is a top priority for modern infrastructure teams. To achieve maximum efficiency, organizations are shifting toward high-density, multi-tenant cluster environments—dynamically orchestrating real-time AI services, autonomous agentic workflows, and heavyweight data pipelines on the same shared infrastructure. While this resource-sharing approach maximizes hardware ROI, it fundamentally redefines the platform's attack surface. Competing external compute demands and tool execution layers onto shared infrastructure creates security and risk trade-offs, significantly widening the blast radius for cross-tenant data leakage, lateral movement, and container escapes.
This session explores how to achieve peak hardware efficiency without compromising isolation by building a comprehensive zero-trust platform architecture on Red Hat OpenShift. We will map out the essential security pillars required to safely run diverse, high-performance workloads side-by-side. We will discuss the implementation of workload identities and scoped authorization frameworks to validate autonomous services, enforce rigid container-runtime isolation to neutralize host-level vulnerabilities, and leverage hardware-enforced confidential computing alongside continuous behavioral monitoring to ensure sensitive datasets remain entirely dark to neighboring tenants.
Operations Track - OpenShift Ops Hands-on Experience: “Day 1 Operational Workflows”
Tailored for IT/Ops teams, this session focuses on building environments optimized for developers and establishing Day 1 operational workflows. Through hands-on exercises, participants will focus on initial setup, core OpenShift concepts, application lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and essential developer tooling integration.
